What's Behind the Empty Chair?Part I - Introduction (25 min) The three major lenses of Field Theory, Phenomenology, and Dialogue are illustrated. The amount information in Part I is appropriate for someone with little or no experience with Gestalt therapy and can be accompanied with discussion and/or demonstration.

Part II - Overview or Review (60 min) This overview repeats the three main lenses (with minor additions to Field Theory and an extended clarification of Dialogue), and also covers Organismic Self Regulation, Contact Processes and Interruptions, Existentialism, and Theory of Change. It also includes a brief history of the development of Gestalt therapy. It can be divided into sections and presented as a series over several sessions to allow time for training or classroom discussion and/or can be used as a review of concepts at the end of a course or training in Gestalt therapy.
